Windies pacer Mindley back rejoin camp after testing negative for Covid

Uncapped West Indies pacer Marquino Mindley, who had tested positive for Covid-19 during a high-performance camp, has been released from quarantine ahead of the upcoming home series against South Africa.

Mindley, who had returned positive for the infection on May 24, has now re-joined the Windies camp following a second negative RT-PCR test result on Thursday.

After being tested positive, he was in isolation at the team hotel away from the other team members including the coaching and support staffs.

West Indies will take on South Africa in a two-test series, beginning June 10 and both the matches will be held at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground here.
