Sri Lanka Sports Minister recommend names for SLC’s new cricket committee

Sri Lanka Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa on Saturday said that he has recommended names to appoint a new cricket committee for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).

Issuing a tweet, Rajpaksha said: “I have recommended names to appoint to the new cricket committee of the Sri Lanka Cricket.”

“This committee will monitor the progress of players & coaches ensuring that the objectives agreed upon by the Sports Minjstry & the Sri Lanka Cricket are fully enforced,” he added on Saturday.

According to reports, the Minister had earlier revealed that former cricketers and corporate leaders were expected to be part of the committe.

Significantly, the committe will be appointed in the first week of February.
