Sevilla signs Denmark midfielder Thomas Delaney for reportedly $7.1 million

Sevilla, the spanish professional football club, has signed Denmark midfielder Thomas Delaney from German Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund on a four-year contract, the club has announced.

Although the six-time Europa League winner did not disclose the financial details of the transfer however, reports said that Sevilla paid $7.1 million fee for the 29-year-old midfielder.

“Sevilla FC announce their sixth signing ahead of the 2021/22 season with the Danish centre-midfielder Thomas Delaney, who has been capped on 60 occasions by his country,” Sevilla said in a statement.

After joining Borussia Dortmund from Werder Bremen in 2018, Delaney had played 88 matches for the club across various competitions, helping it win the German Cup and German Super Cup.

Sevilla, which finished fourth in the LaLiga in the previous season, will head to Elche on Saturday.
