Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi will feature in IPL 2021 remainder

Although the present political situation in Afghanistan have cast major doubts over the availability of ace spinner Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi for the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19.

However, clearing doubts over the uncertainty, the duo’s franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) CEO K. Shanmugam has reportedly said that they will participate in the remainder of the 2021 IPL in the UAE despite testing circumstances.

Shanmugam also said that the SRH will leave for the UAE on August 31.

SRH is languishing at the bottom of the points-table of the IPPL 2021, which was suspended earlier this year due to Covid-19.

Till then, the Orange Army had managed only one win off seven matches. SRH is set to resume their IPL 2021 campaign against table-toppers Delhi Capitals (DC) on September 22.

Currently, Rashid is featuring in the inaugural edition of The Hundred in the UK.

On Sunday, the ace spinner put in a sensational performance for his side Trent Rockets, helping it register a seven-wicket win over the Manchester Originals. Rashid had scalped three wickets for 16 runs off his 20 deliveries.
