India skipper Mithali Raj on Friday became the second woman cricketer and the first Indian to surpass 10,000 runs in international cricket.
Mithali’s knock of 36 runs against South Africa in the ongoing third ODI took her to 10,001 runs. Mithali has an average of 46.73.
Currently, Mithali, 38, has amassed 6,974 runs in ODIs, 2,364 runs in T20Is and 663 runs in Tests.
Overall, she has 75 half centuries and eight centuries to her name.
Before her, former England captain Charlotte Edwards was the only woman to score over 10,000 runs in international cricket.
