IPL 2022: KKR signs Joy Personal Care as Associate Sponsors

Joy Personal Care, a leading Indian skincare brand from the aegis of RSH Global, was on Thursday announced as the associate sponsors of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

As a part of this association, the logo of Joy Personal care will feature on the team’s official jersey. Additionally, Joy personal care will enjoy significant on-ground visibility for all games played at home ground.

As a part of the collaboration, the team will endorse the brand and will be involved in a series of initiatives to engage with the large fan base of KKR. Joy Personal Care and KKR will also work together to create a unique TVC and digital content across social media platforms which will convey the brand’s messaging.

Commenting on the association, Sunil Agarwal, Chairman, RSH Global said: “It’s an incredible honor to be the official partner of one of the most decorated T20 franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders. Just as for KKR, Kolkata is home ground for us as well, and what better way to strengthen our market position and brand recall than an association with a religion like cricket.”

Notably, the upcoming IPL season will comprise of a total of 70 league matches, which will be played across four international-standard venues in Mumbai and Pune.

The 2022 season will be played in a bio-secure environment at a single hub to avoid air travel, considered as a major threat for the spread of COVID-19 infection, thereby affecting the players and tournament.

While 55 matches are scheduled to be held in Mumbai, the remaining 15 games will be staged in Pune while the playoffs’ venues haven’t been decided yet. Is most likley that the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad will stage the playoffs however, no official announcement has been made yet.

In the upcoming season, the 10 teams have been divided into two groups. While Group A comprises of Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants, Group B includes Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans.

From this year onwards, the lucrative league will be a ten-team affair following the addition of the two new teams – Ahmedabad and Lucknow and will have a total of 74 games.
