IPL 2021: Tournament remainder reportedly to resume in September third week

The remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season is reportedly going to resume on September 18 or 19 in the UAE with as many as 10 double-headers expected to be played during a three-week window.

As per reports, the final might be held on October 9 or 10.

Reports also said that the BCCI has already spoken to all the stakeholders and the franchises on the matter and everyone has agreed with the board.

Significantly, India’s fifth and final Test against England is set to finish on September 14 at Manchester and the team will be directly flown to the UAE in a chartered flight for a “bubble to bubble” transfer.

Similarly, the English players, who will be available for the remainder of the cash-rich league, will fly in the same charter flight Dubai.

On the other hand, the Windies players will also fly in after completing the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) engagements and every player will have to serve a three-day quarantine.

Menawhile, in order to complete the IPL 14, the BCCI has decided to scrap India’s T20 series against South Africa scheduled in September.
