IPL 2021: RR’s Liam Livingstone withdraws citing “Bubble Fatigue”

Rajasthan Royals (RR) batsman Liam Livingstone has left the squad and flown back to England due to bubble fatigue.

Livingstone, 27, was last seen in action during the recently held ODI series between England and India. In the series, he had also made his ODI debut and played a couple of crucial knocks.

After the series, Livingstone had joined the Indian Premier League (IPL) bio-bubble with the RRhowever, he didn’t featured in the three games the team has played so far in the ongoing 14th season.

“Liam Livingstone has flown back home late last night, due to bubble fatigue accumulated over the past year. We understand and respect his decision, and will continue supporting him in any way we can,” RR wrote on Twitter.

Livingstone was acquired by RR in the 2021 mini-auctions for Rs 75 lakh.

Before arriving in India, Livingstone had featured in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) for Perth Scorchers, which had finished as runners-up.
