IPL 2020: South African trio joins RCB in Dubai

South African trio of seasoned pro AB de Villiers, veteran speedster Dale Steyn and Chris Morris have reached Dubai to join Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The Royal Challengers’ tour party had flown in to Dubai from Bengaluru on Friday without Virat Kohli. The skipper has reportedly taken a separate chartered flight from Mumbai to join the squad in the UAE.
The squad will spend six days in isolation in the team hotel. They will have to undergo three tests for COVID-19 during the isolation period. Once all the reports are confirmed negative the team will join practice for the upcoming Indian Premier League season.
RCB has tweeted a video of the team’s arrival in the UAE.

“The Proteas Arrive And here it is RCB fans, the moment you’ve all been waiting for! @abdevilliers17, @dalesteyn and @tipo_morris have joined the team in Dubai! #PlayBold #TravelDay #IPL2020 #BoldDiaries.”
“I am very excited, very happy to be here. Travelling was a bit different from normal but we have made it here with my South African friends and we are very happy to be back in the RCB family. I am looking forward to my Covid-19 test,” Khaleej Times has quoted de Villiers as saying.
“It’s been quite a while that we have played the game that we love. So yeah very challenging but we are very excited to get going, a little bit nervous too to be honest,” said Morris.
“It’s going to be interesting to play in the heat. We got here like 3 in the morning and it was steaming outside. Looking forward to what’s it going to be like in a few weeks,” said Steyn.
