India to tour New Zealand for 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs in November

The Team India will tour New Zealand for a three-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series in November, the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) announced on Tuesday.

India’s tour to New Zealand is part of the Kiwi home summer where they will also Sri Lanka, Pakistan and England.

As per the schedule announced by the NZC, the Kiwi home season will begin in October, which will be New Zealand’s last chance for preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia as they will host a tri-series featuring Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The Kiwis will then feature in the ICC T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Australia. After the showpiece tournament, they will then host the Men In Blue for a three-match T20I and ODI series, with the first T20I slated to be held on November 18 at the Sky Stadium in Wellington.

New Zealand will then be on a tour to Pakistan and India for a brief series and will then host England for two Tests.

After the conclusion of the England series, New Zealand will host Sri Lanka for a full-fledged tour. The Sri Lanka tour will be comprising of two Tests, three T20Is and as many ODIs.

Announcing the schedule, NZC chief executive David White said that the upcoming season held great promise for both the WHITE FERNS and the BLACKCAPS.

“Last summer’s ICC Women’s World Cup did so much to promote the game, and it will be great to see the WHITE FERNS in action right around the country. And to have India, England and Sri Lanka touring here, on top of visits from Pakistan and Bangladesh, means cricket fans can look forward to a summer of top-quality cricket,” White said in a statement.

Meanwhile, White also confirmed ticket prices for all the games of the men’s and the women’s team and said that the priced would remain the same as last year’s discounted levels.

“We recognise the challenges of the current environment – and our priority is to make international cricket as accessible as possible. After the previous seasons’ restrictions from Covid, we want to ensure our venues and fixtures remain affordable and welcoming,” White added.
