Hero CPL records 58% increase for commercial partners in 2020 season

The Hero Caribbean Premier League, which is a franchise-based T20 format cricket tournament, has delivered a record total value of US$371million to it’s commercial partners during the 2020 season.

The value is a 58% increase from the previous 2019 season and the figures were collated by YouGov Sport, a division of one of the biggest research firms in the world.

Due to the prevalent Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 season of the league was held behind closed doors at two venues in Trinidad.

However, the league had a record viewership of 523.5million as so many people watched the tournament around the globe and as a result, the commercial partners involved with the Hero CPL got excellent exposure throughout the last season.

Significantly, the partners for the 2020 season were Hero Motorcorp, Digicel, El Dorado Rum, Republic Bank, Dream XI, Fun88, Bet Daily, Angostura LLB, Republic Bank, FedEx, Visa, Guardian Group, Carib, LifeBuoy, Turbo Energy Drink and Rainforest Seafood.
