Former NBA player Theo Ratliff to help athletes invest in franchising industry

Former American professional basketball player Theo Ratliff has partnered with minority-owned private equity firm Corlex Capital to help athletes, entertainers and entrepreneurs pursue investment opportunities within the franchising industry.

Ratliff, who played 16 NBA seasons, is a serial entrepreneur and founding investor in Corlex.

Issuing a statement, Ratliff said: “Corlex brings its operational prowess and a turnkey solution to fill a big gap for new franchise investors and entrepreneurs.”

According to reports, 47-year-old Ratliff earned roughly $100 million in his carer and spent time with the Philadelphia 76ers, Detroit Pistons, and Atlanta Hawks.

Primarily a center, he was an excellent shot-blocker who had led the league three times in blocks per game. As of 2020, he is ranked 20th all-time in career blocks.
