FC Goa rope in Oaksmith Gold as Associate Sponsor on three-year deal

FC Goa on Thursday announced that Oaksmith Gold will be back as the club’s Associate Sponsor after the two brands agreed on a new three-year deal. The new deal will see Oaksmith Gold be associated with the Club till the summer of 2024.

As part of the new partnership, the Oaksmith Gold logo will appear on all FC Goa match day shirts at the ‘right chest’ position. Additionally, Oaksmith Gold will be partners in producing some of the most engaging digital content pieces on the FC Goa social media channels.

The sponsorship grants Oaksmith Gold rights to use the FC Goa marks and player images in advertising in key markets throughout India.

Speaking on the new long-term association between the two brands, FC Goa President Akshay Tandon said, “We are extremely happy to extend our partnership with Oaksmith Gold for a second season. Our first season together was a fruitful one, with both the brands forming a strong connect. This extension is a real testament to exactly that.

“We look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship together. There is a very bright future ahead for FC Goa and Oaksmith Gold together as we continue to grow in our respective fields,” he added.

Ruchika Gupta, Head of Marketing, Beam Suntory India further commented on the partnership, stating, “Oaksmith Gold partners FC Goa for yet another season, as both share a common ground of what is revered internationally yet curated for the Indian audience. While Oaksmith is an emerging premium international brand, garnering international accolades, standing out with its Finest Japanese Craftsmanship, FC Goa brings forth unmatched experience of an internationally venerated sport engaging a niche, discerning audience set in India.

“As consumers’ interests diversify beyond cricket, football has been garnering viewership from ahead of the curve early adopters in India and with this partnership we hope to give the nudge soccer interest needs in the country,” he added.

Earlier on November 30, FC Goa had announced to have signed 1Xnews as the club’s Principal Title Sponsor for the ongoing 2021-22 season of the league.

As part of the tie-up, 1Xnews will appear on the chest of the club shirt and training wear throughout the course of the season.

1Xnews will also be featured in various social media graphics, and on ground advertising across every live FC Goa game, on all platforms that broadcast the Hero ISL. This partnership will also fuel the club’s social media presence.

A leading online news portal, this will be 1Xnews’ first foray into Indian football. With an aim to further popularise Indian football 1Xnews will be providing footballing news and updates as the Gaurs look to reclaim the ISL League Winners Shield and get their hands on their first ISL title.

Notably, FC Goa is the current holder of the Super Cup. Nicknamed the Gaurs, FC Goa has been one of the most consistently successful teams in the ISL – reaching 4 semi-finals and 2 finals in 7 seasons.

In Season 2019-20, the club won the Hero ISL League Winners Shield, by finishing top of the table in the league stages and became the first-ever club from India to play in the group stages of the AFC Champions League in April 2021.
