Dhiraj Malhotra likely to be named as BCCI GM Operations

Delhi Capitals (DC) CEO Dhiraj Malhotra is likely to be named as the new GM operations of the the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The cricket governing body is yet to make an official announcement but as per sources, Malhotra is all set to take the new role very soon.

Notably, Malhotra has experience of over 24 years which includes working with International Cricket Council (ICC), Wasserman Media Group (WMG), and International Management Group (IMG) among others.

Malhotra’s first association with the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL) was in 2008 when he was appointed as Tournament Director.

Later, he held similar positions in Indian Super League (ISL), Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) beside serving as an advisor to Hockey India League (HIL).

Significantly, Malhotra had also served the Indian Army. He was also awarded the prestigious Shaurya Chakra by the President of India in 1999.
