CPL 2020 LIVE: Star Sports strikes deal for broadcast rights

The Caribbean Premier League will stay on Star Sports for the 2020 season. India’s leading sports broadcaster has struck a deal for the television deals.

Dream11 had acquired the CPL 2002 media rights for the Indian sub-continent. The fantasy sports platform was engaged for television rights with several broadcasters.

SportzFront has learned the deal has finally been struck with Star Sports. The Walt Disney Company-owned broadcaster will thus continue to broadcast the Cricket West Indies-owned franchisee-based league.

The CPL 2020 will be played in Trinidad and Tobago at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy and the Queen’s Park Oval from August 18 to September 10.

Cricket West Indies has announced the CPL 2020 schedule on July 27.
