BCCI initiates process to find Saba Karim’s successor

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has invited applications for the post of General Manager, Game Development. The selected candidate will succeed Syed Saba Karim.

Interested candidates can submit their application till August 7.

GM Game Development will be responsible for determining and monitoring “the match playing regulations, standards of venues, including pitches and outfields” besides “administration of the Domestic Tours Program.

The former India stumper has resigned as GM Cricket Operations earlier this month.

Saba Karim was reportedly asked to resign earlier this month, days after CEO Rahul Johri’s long-tendered resignation was accepted. Saba Karim had replaced Dr MV Sridhar as the GM Cricket operations after the former first class cricketer’s demise in 2017.

Saba Karim was responsible for the Indian domestic and women’s cricket.
