BCCI initiates process to find new kit sponsor, merchandising partner

Amidst reports that the Team India kit sponsor Nike might not renew its contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, the BCCI has set the ball rolling to find the kit and marketing partners for the national men’s, women’s and junior (age group) cricket teams.

The BCCI has invited bids for the Team Kit Sponsor and Official Merchandising Partner Rights through a tender process.

Under the Invitation to Tender (ITT), the winning bidder will be granted the right to be the Kit Sponsor and or the Official Merchandising Partner and various other associated rights.

The other rights are defined in the ITT.

The terms and conditions governing the submission and evaluation of bids including eligibility requirements and performance obligations are contained in the ITT which will be available from August 3, 2020 against payment of the Tender Fee of ₹1,00,000. The ITT will remain for purchase till August 26, the BCCI has stated in a Press release.

The BCCI has reserved the right at its discretion to cancel or amend the bidding process at any stage without providing any reason.
