Tokyo Olympics Live Updates Day 4: Boxer Lovlina Borgohain books a spot in pre-quarters

Team India kicked-off the proceedings on a bright note on day 4 of the ongoing Tokyo Olympics as the men’s hockey team outclassed Spain 3-0.

Meanwhile, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker, Saurabh Chaudhary although topped their mixed team air pistol qualification Stage 1 but finished 7th in Stage 2 and missed the medal events.

    Lovlina Borgohain books a place in pre-quarters after defeating Germany’s Nadine Apetz 3-2 by split decision in 69kg category.

    India return to winning ways, beat Spain comfortably after 7-1 loss to Australia. The 3-0 comfortable win for the men in blue is indeed morale-boosting and takes them a step closer to the quarterfinals. India will next take on reigning champions Argentina.

 

  • Shooting: 
    Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary crash out of Qualifying Stage 2 with a score of 380 and miss the medal rounds of the 10m air pistol mixed team event.

 

  • Shooting: 
    The Indian mixed team of Saurabh Chaudhary and Manu Bhaker tops the qualification stage 1 with a score of 582 in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.
