Tokyo Olympics Live Updates Day 3: Sharath Kamal wins; Archers in QF

After a dismal outing on Day 2, Indian athletes would aim for a much improved show on Monday.
India’s Sharath Kamal advances after beating Portugal’s Tiago Apolonia in Table Tennis Men’s Round 2.
Also, men’s archery team of Atanu Das, Tarundeep Rai, and Pravin Jadhav beat Kazakhstan entered the quarterfinals where they will meet Korea.
Earlier, India started the third day on a great note as CA Bhavani Devi, the first Indian fencer to compete at the Olympics, won her first bout in the Women’s Sabre event.
Meanwhile, in the men’s skeet event, Angad Vir Singh Bajwa would hope to make the finals and win India another medal.
Later in the day, paddlers, swimmers, Sumit Nagal and the sailors will also be in action.

  • Indian team comprising Atanu Das, Pravin Jadhav and Tarundeep Rai beat Kazakhstan 6-2 to advance to the Round of 16. The trio will be up against Kotra later in the day.Fencing
  • Bhavani Devi, the first Indian fencer to make it to Olympics, wins her debut match 15-3 and advances to round-of-32 in the Women’s Sabre Individual event. She will now face France’s Manon Brunet, who is the fourth seed in this competition.
