Anil Jayaraj leaves Star India

Anil Jayaraj, executive vice president of Star Sports, has resigned after serving the company for more than six years.

Jayaraj had joined Star in March 2015 and is currently serving his notice period till September.

The company is however, yet to make an official announcement on the development.

Significntly, Jayaraj had joined Star India as head of ad sales for Star Sports after serving Pidilite Industries as the chief marketing officer.

It was under Jayaraj that Star Sports managed to earn over ₹3, 000 crore worth of revenue with the IPL.

Meanwhile, Jayaraj will now be replaced by Anoop Govindan, Sr Vice President & National Advertising Sales Head, Star Sports.

Govindan has served Star for more than eight years and as the National Advertising Sales Head, he was looking after sports ad revenue across Broadcast, On Ground and Digital platforms.
