Rishabh Pant, throwdown expert Dayanand Garani test positive for Covid-19

Team India’s wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and throwdown specialist Dayanand Garani have tested positive for COVID-19, while two other team members have been put in precautionary ahead of the upcoming Test series against hosts England.

As per reports, a coaching staff member and reserve wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha have been put in isolation for having come in contact with Garani.

While these four people are currently in London in isolation, the remaining members are heading to Durham after they regrouped the 20-day break after the WTC final in Southampton.

Both Pant and Saha will now miss the upcoming practice game against a combined county side in Durham from July 20.

Earlier on May 13, Pant took his first dose of Covid vaccine.

He was recently spotted at London’s Wembley Stadium during a Euro 2020 match between hosts England and Germany.
